Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Clear pathway or beach of any garbage or debris and place in garbage receptacles
  • Empty all filled garbage receptacles that are located on the beach
  • Regularly check the pathways / beach areas for dirty empty drinks containers and any other garbage or debris
  • Collect any garbage or debris immediately and deposit in the garbage receptacles
  • Immediately report any 'heavy' cleaning concerns (e.g., feces, major spillages, overflowing garbage bins, etc.) to the Supervisor to pass on to Space Cleaning.
  • Clean chairs in a designated zone based on the chair cleaning schedule posted.
  • Collect cleaning equipment from towel booth.
  • Mix in spray bottle, a 50/50 mix of cleaning agent (Enforce) and fresh water.
  • Spray chair with mixture, ensuring that underside is treated also.
  • Scrub down chair thoroughly using long handled abrasive pad.
  • Wipe down Bimini top with wet cloth and cleaning agent (Joyful).
  • Rinse chair with fresh water.
  • Repeat process for each chair in zone
  • Check each bimini top for holes, tears, etc.
  • Immediately report any damage to Supervisor and remove chair and/or bimini top from deck if necessary
  • Return cleaning equipment to storage area
  • Clear deck of any garbage or debris
  • Collect any used cups, baskets and other garbage, and place in garbage receptacles.
  • Arrange chairs neatly into pre-determined pattern, with chair backs set on the second notch

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational training
  • Good communication skills
  • Food Handler's Certificate
