PAYROLL ANALYST- MONTEGO BAY
Summary
Responsible for preparation of accurate and timely exception processing of multi state, multi frequency,
exempt/non-exempt client payroll; to include bonus, commission, retroactive, fringe benefit, sick pay and other types of supplemental pay as determined by the client and according to Desk Top Procedures.
Principal Duties
- Data entry of employee maintenance according to client contract including exceptions
- Telephone support for the ESC with client contact as needed in problem resolution
- Preparation of payroll according to frequency
- Reconciliation of processed payroll according to Desk Top Procedures
- Process Off Cycle check runs if necessary
- Submit required data to manager for weekly key indicator metrics
- Monitor and effect timely resolution of Clarify cases and select ODM documents
- Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings
- Report to Supervisor/Team Lead any overly complex workgroup issue or high risk areas
- Master the payroll system and become the expert
- Other duties as assigned
Qualification/ Experience
- ACCA Level 2 or a University degree in Accounting or Finance
- Customer service experience (a distinct asset)
- Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Careful attention to accuracy and detail
- Ability to research and resolve complex payroll issues efficiently and quickly
- Ability to adapt to changes quickly in a very dynamic environment
- Ability to communicate well both orally and written
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to use initiative
