SUMMARY
The scope of the Payroll Administrator is to provide payroll administration services for the organization
as a whole. Focus of the position is to ensure that areas of responsibilities comply with all legislation
requirements, human resources policies and to ensure that all employees are paid accurately and in a
timely manner.
Location: Kingston, Jamaica
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following however other duties may be assigned.
Responsible to provide payroll administration services ensuring accurate and timely delivery of payroll maximizing employee satisfaction.
Performs other duties as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This role will have no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Possess the ability to adapt and innovate ideas, create concepts and visualize deliverables.
Ability to work as part of a team, and to work collaboratively with individuals from other departments.
Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality surrounding secure and private information.
Strong working knowledge of MS Windows; strength in associated office productivity software tools vis-a-vis MS Office (i.e.: Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to manage projects from inception through execution ensuring deadlines are met.
Highly organized and strong attention to detail/accuracy.
Team focused positive attitude, must be self-motivated, and possess very good time management and exceptional communication skills both in written and verbal English. (Ability to communicate in both written and verbal French would be an asset.)
Ability to draft content into documents, presentations, etc…
EXPERIENCE
Five years of payroll administration within an environment of 400+ employees.
Experience in ADP, people@work and pay@work.
EDUCATION
Completion of post-secondary education with a degree or diploma in Payroll Administration would be an asset.
CPA certification would be an asset.
OTHER
Satisfactory completion of background checks including both criminal and credit checks.
Flexible work hours may be required.
