Reporting to the Head Chef, this position involves supervision of pastry and bake shop team. The ideal candidate should have the following experience, qualifications, and attributes:-:-
At least five years experience as Pastry Chef in a Five Star resort with fine dining restaurants.
Excellent culinary and creative skills gained from formal instruction at a reputable institution, as well as through a structured career path.
A proven track record of developing desserts to build on an existing excellent dessert menu
Produce consistent results and demonstrate attention to detail
Calm and pleasant demeanour.
Experience in an AAA Five Diamond resort would be a definite advantage.
Computer literacy in Microsoft Office.
The successful candidate would be responsible for maintaining high levels of health, hygiene and safety principles, and assisting with administrative duties.
