DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides academic leadership in curriculum development, implementation and evaluation, especially in the teaching and vocational areas;
• Teaches at the Undergraduate and Graduate levels;
• Supervises postgraduate students;
• Participates in the training of a new generation of researchers in their specific areas of expertise;
• Leads academic research projects and grant funding initiatives;
• Develops and maintains relationships with other local, regional and international stakeholders;
• Participates in various committees at the university;

• Provides service to the wider community through workshops, seminars and public lectures.

   

  QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• PhD in Technical and Vocational Education or an equivalent qualification from a recognized and accredited university

• Other terminal degree with relevant combination of experience and training may be considered

• A minimum of twelve (12) years experience at a senior level actively involved in teaching and research at an institution of higher learning

• Demonstrated scholarly activity (publications/ presentations at conferences) at a local and international level
