| Private Power Operators Limited manages Jamaica Private Power Company (JPPC) through an operations and maintenance agreement. JPPC owns a base-load 60 MW Heavy Fuel Oil-fired generating facility located on the east side of Kingston, Jamaica. Its sole business is power generation and the sale of wholesale electricity under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the public utility company, Jamaica Public Service Company Ltd. The plant commenced operations on January 6, 1998.
The consistent employment of the best equipment and technology has allowed the company to achieve the most cost effective, reliable and efficient operations. JPPC is owned 84.42% by AEI and 15.58% by Inkia Energy. Private Power Operators Ltd is a wholly-owned subsidiary of AEI. |
