Caribbean Cement Company Limited is in search of a suitably qualified individual who will fill the position of:
PLANNING ENGINEER
The successful candidate will report to the Engineering Services Manager and will be responsible for the development, planning and scheduling of both routine preventive maintenance jobs, conditioning monitoring routines and routine plant inspections. The Planning Engineer will also be responsible for the planning of major turnarounds for the plant.
Main Responsibilities include:
Maintaining the computerised asset database with special emphasis on:
o Ensuring all assets are accounted for
o Ensuring all assets have the relevant technical data and bill of materials
o Ensuring all assets have appropriate preventive maintenance schedules and condition monitoring routes
o Ensure adequate stock levels (Max, Min, Reorder) for asset spares
Managing the work order system
o Issuing work orders for preventive maintenance jobs and condition monitoring routines
o Developing trend reports with key data from completed work orders and analysing trends to predict the onset of failure
o Following up on recommended actions to ensure completion
Planning for service jobs and turnarounds
o Planning materials, tools and manpower for service jobs
o Planning job lists and requirements for plant turnarounds
o Scheduling routing jobs via a regular maintenance planning session
o Prepare reports for all major turnarounds
The person we seek must possess the following:
Required Education/Expertise/Skills:
BSc in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering
At least five years’ experience in the setup of preventive maintenance programmes
Experience with condition monitoring tools such as vibration analysis and oil analysis
Experience with the setup and use of computerised maintenance management systems
Required Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years working experience in planning.
