PIPEYARD TECHNICAL AUTHORITY TRAINEE

Main Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • The primary focus of this role is to ensure effective supervision and delivery of all customer requirements pertaining to the Oil & Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) technical requirements & inspections and providing a timely, quality and cost effective service to all customers.
  • Technical
  • Ensure that inspections are carried out against desired specifications as per client request.
  • Understand all calibration requirements.
  • Provide Oil & Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) support for all exploration and development drilling operations, and production projects, both onshore and offshore.
  • Conduct machine shop visits along with Pipeyard Superintendent, as and when required.
  • Perform Visual Inspections on all tubular.
  • Verify drift Outer Diameter (OD) is correct and within American Petroleum Institute (API) specifications or required standards at start-ups and periodically check drifts Outer Diameter (OD) throughout job.
  • Inspect tubular Outer Diameter (OD) to ensure no imperfections to the pipe body as a result of the saline content that exist in the environment.
  • Ensure Trinidad Pipe Inspection installs clean thread protectors prior to shipping.
  • Ensure electronic measuring device utilizes are calibrated on time to guarantee logged data are accurate, and that new, used, rentals tubular, as well as rig returns are maintain to preserve the integrity of all OCTG's.
  • Prepare requested Tubulars, equipment to send off shore Casing/Tubing Inspection.
