This position is responsible for ensuring that the organization has the optimal resources, infrastructure and systems to support the operations.
Participates in the development and preparation of short-term and long-range plans and budgets based upon broad organization goals and objectives;
Directs the development and installation of procedures and controls, to promote communication and adequate information flow, and thereby solidify management control and direction of the company;
Develops and establishes operating policies consistent with the CEO’s broad policies and objectives and insures their adequate execution. Appraises and evaluates the results of overall operations regularly and systematically, and reports these results to the CEO;
Ensures that all KPI targets are met through effective strategic planning;
Directs internal operations to achieve budgeted results and other financial criteria, and to preserve the capital funds invested in the company;
Insures that all activities and operations are performed in compliance with local regulations and laws governing business operations;
Direct the implementation of plans and programs related to the Occupational Health and Safety and protection of the Organization’s and aligned stakeholder’s resources. Ensure policies and best practices are adhered to;
Leads process improvement for the organization via solutions for identified areas;
Continuously seeks and capitalizes on opportunity to exceed the expectations of customers/clients (internal and external) by placing a keen interest on understanding and effectively resolving a customer/client-impacting issues in a professional and results-orientated manner;
Review trip advisor feedbacks and develop strategies to eliminate and/or reduce complaints;
Responsible for managing escalations from customers to ensure that there is an amicable outcome which is in line with the client expectations;
Drive improvement in reporting teams towards greater efficiency, increasing productivity, reducing operational costs and ensuring best practices standards are met;
Act as a point of escalation in removing obstacles preventing strategic KPIs being delivered within the organization;
Highlighting and recommending to the executive team any changes to policy, process and work instruction based on internal analysis, feedback received from internal customers and other observations;
Ensures that all staff receives performance management feedback and works with HR to create and implement staff development plans for direct and indirect reports;
Works to ensure that there is adequate staffing for all respective areas of the organization, ensuring that succession planning is done;
Maintain stakeholder relationships at the airport i.e. MBJ, NMIA, PICA, Customs, JTB etc.
