Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this critical position will work closely with the Service, Parts and Collision Departments to ensure efficient and timely after-sales service.
The Role
The Operations Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategic and operational plans for the Service Department in conjunction with the Sales, Parts and Collision Departments.
The successful candidate will be tasked with developing the annual budget. He/she will work in collaboration with the Sales, Parts and Collision Departments to ensure effective after sales service to all vehicles.
The candidate will work closely with and co-ordinate the team to ensure the satisfactory execution of repairs/service and appropriate communication to customers.
The Operations Manager will champion health and safety in the workplace to provide a safe system of work and work environment for all employees.
The candidate will effectively lead the team in the Service department, maintaining healthy employee and industrial relations and implementing appropriate systems and policies, in conjunction with the Human Resources Manager.
The Candidate
The Operations Manager will possess a B.Sc. in Engineering or a relevant business discipline with a minimum of five years’ experience in a leadership capacity, dealing with multiple aspects of complex business processes.
The successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal and organisational skills and must be an effective communicator.
The candidate will demonstrate the ability to be decisive, think clearly and work under pressure.
The Operations Manager will possess the ability to coach, train and provide guidance to the team on technical matters.
The candidate will be responsible for the timely completion and submission of reports and other documentation.
The Operations Manager will actively keep abreast of best practices in the industry to critically examine processes with a view to continuous improvement.
