The Operations Coordinator is a multifaceted position requiring strong organizational, analytical, planning, supervisory ,logistics , customer relationship skills and a willingness to work flexible hours.

The Operations Coordinator's main responsibilities are to (1) to manage the logistics of the Fuel and Transport Division including the sourcing of product and allocation of both units and personnel to meet customer demands (2) to manage the day to day customer interface as part of the logistics process (3) to effectively supervise the division’s employees with a view to ensuring that assigned responsibilities are performed in keeping with the Division’s policies and procedures and (4) to prepare key management reports to track the Division’s productivity and performance. Additionally, the individual may be required to hold stock and manage the Company’s offsite Storage Facility from time to time and to provide relief for key individuals in the Operations Division as part of the Company’s approved vacation entitlement.
Key Responsibilities:
Plans, organizes and directs the day to day operational activities of the Fuel and Transport Division.
Continuously motivates team members to perform at the Division’s standard of performance.
Directly supervises the activities of the Company’s Operator/Drivers to ensure a high level of customer service.
Plans delivery routes and reviews with the Operations Assistants in order to provide an efficient and cost effective delivery service to customers.
Conducts from time to time, audits of deliveries to customers to ensure that the Company’s policies and procedures are strictly adhered to.
Reviews time sheets and approves same for the timely payment of wages.
Liaises with other Heads of Divisions to resolve issues which can negatively impact on the Company’s business.
Develops and maintains solid customer relationships.
Prepares various management reports in keeping with directives from Senior Management
Works closely with the Operations Assistants and Accounting Department in the management and reconciliation of the Company’s bulk storage facility and Road Tank Wagons to ensure any shortages of product are investigated and actions taken accordingly.
Works closely with the Ministry of Energy and Energy Affairs and other regulatory bodies as directed by Senior Management.
Holds key positions within the Division in the absence of primary position holders
Knowledge , skills and abilities:
Certificate or Diploma in Business Management from a recognized institution; Degree in Business Management a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Minimum number of years of relevant experience:
Three (3) years experience in a similar environment.
Specific Skills/Experience and/ or Knowledge:
Strong leadership, planning and time management skills.
Ability to function as an effective team member.
Ability to work through others to achieve goals.
Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
Working knowledge of computer applications.
Ability to build strong working relationships with individuals at all levels.
Working knowledge of the Occupational, Safety and Health Act of Trinidad and Tobago.
Ability to understand and analyze a multiplicity of data and information from several sources and arrive at logical conclusions.
Experience in transportation industry a plus.
