Operational Manager
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3yrs Retail Management experience. ( preferably in Hardware Store)
- Computer Literacy skills, some IT Training preferably
- Strong Leadership skills, HR skills
- Experience in Merchandising and ability to implement merchandising strategy
- Operational skills in stock management ( receiving and inventory), POS management (cashing and data retrieval), as well as front-end management and office management
- Ability to lift 50lbs and willingness to “show” by example
- Must be “upbeat in demeanor” with good communication and organizational skills
- Can work extended hours
Duties of Position:
- Directing all activities of operation; cashiers, sales staff, merchandising, receiving, stocking in entire retail operation
- Working directly with customers on the retail selling floor and via on line/phone
- Monitoring paperwork flow, ensuring the smooth operation of delivery scheduled business ( working with drivers to optimize delivery lead times )
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure employees also provide the same
- Conduct regular employee/management meetings
- Ensure Health and Safety is followed in the workplace
- Responsible for the organization and appearance of the Retail Store
- Perform Operational Duties of opening/closing
- Plan and implement operational efficiency measures
