The Deloitte Caribbean and Bermuda Cluster (CBC) is currently seeking  an Office Administrator who will assist with providing general office and clerical support to the various Departments within the Firm in Trinidad & Tobago.  This role requires advanced skills to enable the individual to deliver a high level of service to Deloitte employees at all levels and to meet the business expectations of our clients.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducts Conflict Check searches and Business Relationship evaluations
  • Maintains logs for Conflict Checks and Business Relationship evaluations, updating the server/folders when necessary
  • Creates, types and corrects financials, including editing and formatting them
  • Assists with typing tax returns when necessary
  • Assists with Banking duties including deposits, withdrawals, collecting admittances, cash transactions and paying bills
  • Provides Reception relief as required:
    • Answering phone calls and operating the switchboard
    • Greeting visitors and ensuring they sign in, issuing visitor badges when necessary and informing staff when they have visitors
    • Answering inquiries about the Firm
    • Scheduling meetings and booking conference rooms
    • Coordinating mail flow, both in and out of the office
    • Receiving and distributing deliveries, incoming/outgoing documents, cheque payments, front desk and conference room books
    • Sending out birthday greeting emails to staff
    • Securing the Reception area at the end of the work day, including closing switchboard, switching off the computer and air-condition unit, turning off the lights, locking the front door and opening the staff exit

  

The successful candidate should possess the following attributes:

  • Five (5) O Level passes, including Mathematics and English
  • Completion of an Administrative Professional Secretary’s course or other similar qualification would be an asset
  • Associate Degree in a related field would be an asset
  • Two (2) years’ experience in a similar role
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office in particular Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Strong commitment to client service with good customer service orientation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Dependable, good team player, eager to learn/be trained
