Primary objective of the job:
- This Facilities Construction Coordinator is responsible for the management of the maintenance of buildings, facility equipment and other facilities systems and procedures related to Digicel's FTTH network.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and development of organizational policies and operational standards relevant to the facilities department in order to ensure compliance with engineering practices.
- Plans and schedules facility maintenance and modifications, including estimates on equipment, labour, materials and other related costs.
- Regularly conducts onsite visits to maintain company properties.
- Oversees all new building re-mods and upgrades.
- Oversees the functions of the in-house Security team.
- Manages and prepares monthly budgets to ensure expenditure is kept within Company expectations.
- Manages preventative maintenance programs for building, equipment and machinery.
- Coordinates and oversees repairs and maintenance projects with vendors and contractors.
- Acts as point of contact for all external contractors
Academic qualifications and experience required for job:
- BSc. Business Management / or equivalent in Project Management or related field
- Minimum of 2-3 years in a similar role
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Programmes
