NETWORK/SECURITY ENGINEER
Job Purpose
The successful candidate will serve as a member of the Implementation and Support Services Team troubleshooting and diagnosing customer related network and security incidents and bringing those incidents to resolution. Some functions may include the design, integration, testing, implementation, development and maintenance of these systems and solutions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Remote delivery of break-fix, maintenance and operational services to customers in line with agreed SLA specifications and international best practices.
Implementation of a range of engineering system solutions, from simple to moderately complex.
Provide remote troubleshooting and diagnostic services to bring customer problems to resolution.
Documenting, designing and implementing IT solutions or changes to existing IT solutions including writing technical and incident reports when required.
Construction of stable, fault-free and maintainable solutions.
Any other duties that may be assigned by the incumbent’s immediate manager.
Technical Skills and Experience:
Five (5) years related work experience in a progressive IT environment.
Demonstrate knowledge and experience with systems integration methods and technologies.
Demonstrate knowledge and experience with business processes, cross business unit initiatives, System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and best practices of quality management.
Advanced LAN administration, Security and WAN administration.
Demonstrate strong fundamentals in networking architecture.
Possess familiarity with technical audits and reviews considered an asset.

Academic Qualifications & Experience:
A degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
Training in technical aspects of information system technology as evidenced by relevant certification (e.g., CCNA, CCSA, ITIL).
Working knowledge of Operation Systems (Windows and Unix).
Technical knowledge (e.g. Microsoft Office including Visio, PCs basic networking).
Any combination of qualifications and experience deemed acceptable.
Travel Requirements
Local travel requires that the candidate own and use his/her personal vehicle for site visits as may be required.
Regional/International travel may be required from time to time for training or customer site visits
