Primary objective of the job:
- Digicel MORE is the Mobile Marketing arm of Digicel Jamaica which serves and or sells Mobile Marketing communication channels to Jamaican
prospects. This role is responsible for serving Digicel MORE Customers and selling to potential prospects.
Number of persons managed/supervised and their positions:
- No direct reports
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or
potential customers.
- Adjusts content of sales presentations by studying customer's activities and objectives.
- Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential campaign (monitoring press/TV daily) in the market.
- Follow each sale with invoice and collection protocol.
- Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
- Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly reports to Digicel
Group and Board.
- Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques,
etc.
- Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
- Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
- Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Academic qualifications and experience required for job:
- Minimum of a First (1st) degree in Business, Marketing or Science (or equivalent 1-2 years' professional experience in the telecom industry
- 1-2 years of customer service experience
- Must have highly organized with strong attention to details and results driven.
- Requires good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Exposure to the mobile-advertising space will be a plus
