Merchandizing Manager

Merchandizing Manager

Core Function

Manages, coordinates and ensures compliance with the procedures for distribution and care of merchandize on the floor as per company standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Coordinates with the Receiving Department that all products within the club are at the point-of-sale and displayed correctly.
  • Ensures that all products are described with the correct price and its corresponding 'Sign".
  • Reviews weekly End Caps performance.
  • Maintains and controls damaged products and the Return to Vendor (RTV) items in order to avoid losses.
  • Checks and reviews the Daily Receiving Summary and Run Book to determine how to merchandize each category.
  • Understands and controls inventory of products in the Club, ensuring compliance with the principles of FIFO.

 

Qualification/Experience

 

-        Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.

-        Minimum of five (5) years experience in a management role, preferably in the retail industry.

-        Ability to communicate effectively, demonstrate teamwork and provide leadership.

-        Excellent customer service skills.

-        Knowledge of Windows operating systems and AS400.
