Position: Media Planner/Buyer

Location: Port of Spain

The job entails:

• Buying local & foreign media
• Developing of media strategies and ideas
• Developing & recommending media plans based on client's media brief & strategy
• Booking media, and immediately following up with orders, emailing, faxing & confirming receipt.
• Liaising with media houses-main stream and nontraditional
• Negotiating with the media representative
• Managing clients' media budgets
• Updating clients’ media schedules
• Following up on clients’ media buys/placements & invoices.
• Filing
• Reconciliation of media invoices
• Monthly reports on media spend

Required:

• Good analytical and writing skills and willingness to do research

•  Strong interpersonal skills/people person

Qualifications:

• Tertiary education in any aspect of advertising/mass communication
• Minimum c-sec or cape level certificate (inclusive of c-sec Math and English) with at least 1 year in the advertising industry
• Typing skills
• Computer literate, skills in MS programs
