The Materials Coordinator is responsible for working with the projects team to ensure that all tools, equipment and materials are certified and that all relevant documents are secured and maintained.

The Materials Coordinator is responsible for working with the projects team to ensure that all tools, equipment and materials are certified and that all relevant documents are secured and maintained.

  1. Main Tasks and Responsibilities

 

The Materials Coordinator is responsible for:

 

  • Ensuring that all tools and equipment are certified via certificate verification and verified with appropriate Team Leads

  • Assist with purchase of supplies by coordinating with procurement department on same

  • Ensure all equipment have a valid certificate attached

  • Arranges in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules.

  • Requisitions material and establishes sequential delivery dates to departments, according to job order priorities and material availability.

  • Examines material delivered to production departments to verify conformance to specifications.

  • Coordinates and expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections or departments, according to production and shipping schedules or department priorities, and compiles and maintains manual or computerized records

  • Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records, such as material inventory, in-process production reports, and status and location of materials

  • Keep track of all toolboxes and equipment via DN’s for off-site operations and daily recording/spot checks of, ensuring they are certified and in good condition

  • Reviews production schedules and related information and confers with department supervisors to determine material requirements to identify overdue materials and to track incoming material.

  • Ensure all slings are certified every 6 months and kept in good working condition

  • Prepare reports and documents as required and requested from the P.M. or client

  • Ensure all certification folders are kept up to date

  • Carry out pre-mobilization inspection on STS equipment

  • Compliance with and commitment to:

  • Perform any other duties as required by the job function.

  • Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with company HSEQ procedures;

  • Other tasks / responsibilities that may be assigned to you from time to time;

     

     

  1. HSE Responsibilities

  • Take care of safety equipment provided for their use, and ensure that it is not miss- used or abused.
  • Report all accidents, near misses and misconduct to their immediate Supervisor or other responsible person.
  • Wear personal protective equipment as required, and report any defects likely to reduce protection

 

  1. Minimum Qualifications and Experience/Key Attributes
  • Technical Diploma/Certificate in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution

  • At least three (3) years’ experience in similar position, doing documentation and control within the Construction and Oil and Gas industries
