Materials Coordinator

To coordinate the process of receiving, monitoring and dispatching of raw materials. To provide support to the production department.

 KEY DUTIES

1. Picking of Raw Materials on a daily basis according to Batch Ticket in accordance to daily production schedule or as directed by Production Manager. 

2. Offloading all incoming Raw Material Containers and Packaging according to Supplier’s Invoices in coordination with Inventory Clerk.  Containers must be offloaded expeditiously to avoid incurring of demurrage charges. 

3. Labelling and tagging materials as necessary and properly stacking said materials in designated areas. 

4. Ensure offloading bay and ALL Raw Material Storage areas are kept clean on a daily / weekly basis in accordance with ISO 9001 Requirements. 

5. Record and repack as necessary any damaged Raw Material whether, bags, pallets, drums etc. 

6. Conduct bi – annual Stock Checking activities in conjunction with Inventory Personnel. 

7. Low or Out of Stock continuous liaison with Inventory Manager, Technical Manager, Production Manager and Inventory Clerks on any Low Stock Material. 

8. Attend all Production and Raw Material related meetings. 

9. Ensure proper rotation of Stock and report or correct any discrepancies. 

10. Ensure daily checks on assigned forklift and make available unit for periodical maintenance.

11. Assist Production Manager with daily disposal of waste water. 

12. Daily ensure all locks / gates are secured in your area of responsibility including solvent and water pumps etc. 

13. Call directly via the operator Solid Waste Company for removal of full garbage bins. 

14. Perform other duties as maybe assigned by the Production Manager from time to time.
