The Marketing Officer will be responsible for the conceptualization, organization, execution and evaluation of Marketing Plans for the different initiatives/projects of the School; from Advertising Campaigns to Experiential Events and/or Activities. The main objective is to build the Brand of the School and the accomplishment of its targets. Campaigns/ Projects/ Initiatives /Events can include: corporate initiatives/ new product/services launches, business units identity development, students initiatives (study trips, graduation, orientation, networking, etc) press conferences, student recruitment events; Business mixers, conferences, exhibitions and fairs; festivals; promotions, product launches; fundraising and social events; corporate and internal events, etc.

 

Key Responsibilities includes but not limited to:

  • Benchmark and conceptualization of Marketing Plans: Objectives, Strategies, Detailed Calendar of activities, creative briefs and campaign development, Media & PR proposal, budget management and evaluation of the plans.
  • Research markets to identify opportunities for the school.

 

 

  • Liaising with internal clients to ascertain their precise objectives and KPI’s for the development of the marketing plans (Student Recruitment, Conferences, Academic, Alumni, Executive Education, Human Resources, Sports & Family Club, etc.)
  • Preparation of General proposal of events, including concepts, marketing & communication plan, execution & logistic plan, time-tables, budget, etc.
    • Sourcing and evaluation of venues
    • Making sure all legal, health and safety and protocol are adhere to
    • Sourcing and Leading the supporting staff and providers to guarantee FLAWLESS EXECUTION
      • Facilities, IT, Security, Parking, Ushers, Volunteers, Media & PR
      • Catering, Decoration, Music, Entertainment, etc.
  • Scope of work:
    • Conceptualization and presentation of proposed marketing plans
    • Creative brief and content development for communication materials (Ads, Press ads, etc.)
    • Media Proposal with strong focus in social media channels
    • Writing and divulgation of Press Releases (where applicable)
    • Coordination of Media Interviews pre and/or post initiatives ( where applicable)
    • Development of Marketing/Communications and Media Strategy Plan.
    • Attendees RSVP
    • Identify, invite and secure speakers (when applicable)
    • Make sure all presentations; videos are in place in a timely manner

 

    • Coordination with internal (facilities, IT, etc.) and external suppliers (lights, catering, decoration, etc.)
    • Make Sure venue is set up and dismantling is in place in a timely manner
    • Sound, light, presentation run and decoration checking
    • Make sure that protocol, legal and health and safety is adhered to.
    • Lead, guide and select Master of Ceremony/Orator.
    • Coordinate with all speakers involved (if applicable)
    • Leading and coordination with all staff and volunteers supporting (ushers, registration, mic runs)
    • Preparation of Packages (where applicable)
    • Coordination of Photography and Videography (an edited video of each event is required to be sent to the attendees and to use it as branding material for the school: website/you tube, etc.)
    • Tokens for Speakers (where applicable)
    • Get Sponsorships for events (where applicable)
    • Leverage on each event to raise awareness of the upcoming  events/activities of the school.
    • Post-Event Evaluation Report with key success factors and learning points.

    • Flawless Execution (all pieces smoothly and in place in a timely manner)
    • Targets accomplishment  (registration, attendance and yield)
    • Attendees Experience feedback

 

  • Budget Management
  • Use of Event Material (videos/pictures) to build the ALJ GSB brand after the event

Job Requirements:

  • Must have good customer relation skills, specifically in regards to interactions with senior executives
  • Excellent Organizational Skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excell & Power Point) - 8
  • Ability to consistently provide accurate data, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive and/or personal information.

 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years experience in Marketing/Communications/ Events/ BTL. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration / Marketing / Event Management or a related field.
