MARKETING OFFICER

 

Job Purpose

To co-ordinate the activities of the marketing department which includes social media, internet advertising while monitoring competitor activity for competitive advantage and ensuring
maximum visibility of the Credit Union.

 

Education, Knowledge and Experience

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Business Management
  • At least 3 years work experience in the field of Marketing
  • Proficient in use of computer applications in particular Microsoft suite of products and experience in Digital/Social Media Marketing

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Co-ordinate the daily activities of the Marketing Department.
  • Assist with the editing of all publicity material (ads, newsletters, brochures, posters etc) to maximize credit unions brand promotions in keeping with the organizations marketing plan.
  • Ensure Brand messages are consistent.
  • Create marketing campaigns online and in print and work with other officers to ensure successful execution.
  • Contribute to the development of new innovative ways to communicate the Credit
    Union's message to existing and prospective members.
  • Contribute to the modification and annual review ofthe marketing plan.
  • Plan and project manage marketing events/activities and evaluate their success/impact.
  • Plan, develop and deliver campaigns as agreed within established timelines.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of all marketing activities.
  • Nurture and build positive image of the Credit Union to ensure membership growth, retention and loyalty.
  • Analyze market trends and recommend marketing and product development strategies based on analysis and feedback.
  • Continuously seek and provide information to determine the Credit Union's position in the financial services sector.
  • Devise and evaluate methods and procedures for collecting data (such as surveys or questionnairesL or arrange to obtain existing data.
  • Gather data on competitors and analyze their interest rates on deposits/loans and methods of marketing and distribution and develop recommendations to aid the organization in its decision making.
  • Monitors competitors' activities in both broadcast and print media.
  • Measure and assess memberships' satisfaction with respect to Credit Union's products and standards of service.
  • Prepare written reports and presentations of findings.
  • Prepare and adhere to budgets.
  • Develop and maintain satisfactory customer relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant stakeholders are kept informed of marketing objectives.
