Marketing Manager

MARKETING MANAGER

JOB SUMMARY:

The incumbent must possess robust interpersonal skills, with evidence of teamwork and collaboration, be a self starter and an independent thinker, with the aptitude to work autonomously and most importantly have the intellectual capacity to interpret trends and data, translating the information into actions and improvements.

He/she will be responsible for managing the day to day marketing activities and long term marketing strategy for the company; researching and developing marketing opportunities and plans; implementing sales plans; and managing staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop strong business relationships with existing and potential new clients.
  • Develop our existing products offerings.
  • Conduct sales presentations to key stakeholders.
  • Recommend and develop plans and programmes that will lead to the growth and profitability of the company.
  • Recommend new sales and marketing strategies.
  • Creating, managing and executing campaigns to achieve monthly generation/conversion targets and deliver qualified leads to sales. Specifically, using marketing automation tools.
  • Sole responsibility for:
    • eMail marketing, purchasing and utilizing e-mail lists.
    • Marketing automation software, conversion and analytics
    • Preparing for, attending and following up on trade shows
    • Pushing content to social media (Facebook, LinkedIn Twitter) and establishing networks within these channels
    • Pursuing speaking opportunities at regional conferences and organizational meetings
  • Owning and optimizing website (landing pages, site organization, user experience, paths to form) based on analytics
  • Gaining intimate knowledge of our core customer, public agencies.  Understanding how public agencies run; how they implement their programs and how they assess buying criteria which you can transfer into the sales, marketing and product functions that make their jobs easier.
  • Competitive review and design of communication and scripts.
  • Building turn key content for programs -- from marketing, to sales, to implementation manuals and training documentation and support

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • MBA in Sales and Marketing;
  • First Degree in business or marketing;
  • Ten (10) years experience of software marketing, creating and managing campaigns using marketing automation tools
  • Demonstrated success in leading integrated marketing campaigns with strong focus on analytics, metrics and results
  • Must possess a good working vehicle and a valid Driver’s Permit.
