MARKETING MANAGER

Job Description

The Company owns and operates a rapidly growing women’s apparel retail chain with branches located acrossTrinidad. The Company has plans to expand to other strategic locations in the near future and is undergoing a process of strategic development a part of which involves the development of its back office team through the hiring of key management personnel.

DESCRIPTION:

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet agreed company objectives. They will lead and execute all marketing initiatives from concept to fruition.

An ideal candidate would have an enthusiasm for marketing, a commitment to continually bring a fresh and creative perspective to the team as well as an interest in fashion retailing. They should have a strong command of principles of marketing metrics and how they can be used to aid decision making.

TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES

  • developing thorough and forward looking marketing plans;
  • preparing, monitoring and managing marketing budgets including weekly forecast update reviews;
  • preparing seasonal promotional calendars and overseeing the proper execution of initiatives;
  • developing and managing the customer loyalty programme;
  • developing an actionable online marketing strategy to meet company objectives;
  • sourcing advertising opportunities and scheduling advertising;
  • managing the production and distribution of point of purchase materials and marketing materials
  • (including leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters and e-newsletters etc;);
  • writing creative briefs, radio advertising scripts and print ad copy;
  • liaising with external parties in order to produce creative material for marketing initiatives (i.e.
  • graphic designers, printers, photographers, media account executives);
  • maintaining the customer databases;
  • preparing and executing customer emails, texts and social media communications;
  • coordinating promotional events (e.g., fashion shows, media events);
  • conducting customer market research;
  • monitoring competitor activity;
  • evaluating marketing campaigns utilizing proven marketing metrics.

EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing or equivalent field.
  • Minimum 5 years of marketing experience
  • Strong background in the consumer goods or fashion industries preferred
  • Brand Management Experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to productively partner with cross-functional team members to meet objectives
