Marine Electrician

Oldendorff Carriers Trinidad and Tobago Ltd. (OCTT), part of Oldendorff Carriers, was established in July 2012 and operates a transhipment site, six nautical miles offshore Point Lisas, in the Gulf of Paria.

OCTT is seeking to recruit an experienced individual to fill the position of Marine Shift Mechanic, reporting to the Operations Manager.

Minimum qualifications:

• City & Gill Mechanical Electrical Electronic Engineering Technician (MEEET)/First    

• Degree in Electrical Engineering

• Must have a minimum of One (1) year experience in the Electrical Industry

• Combination of Qualification and Professional experience will be an asset

• Basic Safety Training STCW-2010

Main duties:

• Responsible of electrical devices and machinery
•  Routine check of E-motors, and electrical equipment
• Carrying of routine daily maintenance works, according to maintenance schedule, with the reporting of damages to Senior Technical Personal / Supervisors
• Assist with the preparation of requisition of electrical parts and consumable
• Assist during the shift, with routine daily mechanical job if required
• Carry out all electrical repair works
• Ensure all necessary safety checks and test required are done as per schedule.
• Ensure the reliability and performance of all electrical equipment related to the transhipment operation such that equipment uptime is at a maximum.
• Observe the installation, maintenance, repair and replacement of marine electrical (AC/DC) and electronic systems on the installation of ground leads and connect power cables to equipment, like motors
