To manage the day to day operational issues surrounding the sale of all Consumer finance related activities in particular driving sales of car loans and all lines of financial products and services.

  • MANAGER - SALES

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Grow the GFC credit portfolio through sales of all lending lines achieved through sales at dealerships and field based client sales.
  • Assist employees in developing their skills by mentoring and coaching employees.
  • Partner with the relevant function heads to create a strong customer service focus across the consumer finance sales function and ensuring that the customer is central to all activities and decisions.
  • Manages the Human and Physical Resources of the department to align the department's goals with the overall organizational goal.
  • Manages performance level within the department through training, coaching, mentoring and corrective disciplinary action.
  • Manage the performance of staff through completion of regular mid-year and annual performance reviews.
  • Conduct regular on-going coaching discussions with staff to address and improve all areas.
  • Supervises the productivity and performance of all staff by monitoring, coaching, training and counselling.
  • Strengthen sales force capability through building necessary skills including technical, competencies and accreditation to meet customer needs.
  • Develop and implement retail sales strategies to ensure that the Company’s sales targets are met or exceeded.
  • Partner with Senior Management team to identify sales challenges, determine sales goals/objectives and design initiatives to align the Company with its objective; articulating clear plans for achieving these.
  • Ensure the timely execution of all Consumer Finance process initiatives:
  •  Maintain knowledge of market and industry trends, competitors and leading sales and customer strategies while identifying and reporting on business opportunities in target markets.
    1. Field visits and presentations
    2. Development and conversion of sales leads
    3. Monthly mail out to target customers
    4. Weekly telephone calls to target segments
    5. Development of periodic marketing campaigns to target segments
    6. Monthly evaluation of conversion rates by Company and Branch and development and implementation of suitable initiatives to ensure agreed rates
  •  Ensure that every effort is made to attract high valued clients from other institutions and to identify opportunities to support all their financial needs.
  • Exercise due diligence when completing and recommending credit applications including: know your client, integrity of data and information, know and understand the transaction, obtaining and documenting verifications, structure of the credit deal including recommending the right product for the client.
  • Keeps up to date on all communications including changes to GFC policy and procedures.
  • Adherence to Regulatory Compliance Guidelines, AML/ATF and GFC's policies and procedures for all products and services and customer transactions by applying the Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements.

 

 

Essential Job Requirements

  •  Bachelors Degree in Banking Finance or Business Management.
  • At least 5 years experience in a sales, service or financially oriented organization
  •  Experience in policy and procedure development
