Representing JMMB in market and promoting the JMMB’s philosophy of the Vision of Love and its unique culture
May be a member to committees or projects that supports the development of product, services or procedures
Promotes the Project Management culture for the transformation and continuous improvement of the JMMB and its associated companies.
Business Development:
Establish and maintain relationships with key Centres Of Influence in the community and works with Senior management and the Marketing Team to develop marketing programs and solutions to encourage referral of new business to FSAs and the wider sales team
Works with the Client Insight and MIS Team Leads to mine client data to provide leads for the FSA team
Develops and delivers aggressive sales plan (sales and productivity) for FSAs, while ensuring the new business adheres to the quality of credit required, portfolio growth, retention and other agreed KPI’s
Develops activity based plans and targets to monitor performance, address gaps and opportunities, and advance JMMB’s acquisition priorities through regular reviews, discussions and observational coaching, ensuring performance goals are met and/or exceeded
Leads and coaches the Financial Solutions team on how to increase external network to support business plans and strategic priorities that result in new business opportunities and referrals
Promotes the development and growth of profitable business by attracting new clients from sources beyond the normal reach of the Branch network
Follows through on credit effectiveness routines to ensure a sustainable portfolio is maintained by the FSAs
Makes sound decisions/recommendations that balance client experience and risk to shareholders
Partners with the GM’s for Sales (Banking and Investments) to achieve optimal pricing within guidelines and gain exceptional approval when appropriate, balancing relationship value and deal profitability
Works collaboratively with Sales Leaders, Branch managers and other key partners to ensure all client needs are met, higher business results achieved and business plans executed to required quality and standard
Employee Capability & Engagement:
Provides or acquires sales & service training that enables higher and sustainable levels of sales & service skills, product knowledge, and effective use of sales & service tools while developing best in class financial advice
Provides support by assisting with sales materials, e.g. Proposals and Presentations to clients etc.
Maintains contact with reportees on a regular basis (e.g. via conference calls) to share best practices and reinforce sales skills from training sessions etc.
Provides coaching for, as required
Makes recommendations for additions or changes to the incentive programmes in keeping with desired outcomes and the organizational culture and norms
Effectively manages up to ensure that the ongoing sales governance and framework is endorsed by Leadership and embedded within the organization
EDUCATION, TRAINING & WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Masters Degree in Management, Economics, Finance or Marketing.
Exposure to and experience in Project Management.
Understanding of credit policies and practices
Understanding of the General Insurance market and associated risks
Understanding of the money market
Expert knowledge of the financial sector instruments, market operations, laws, regulations, ethics and professional jargon.
Proficient in the use of computers, including wordprocessing and spreadsheets. Working knowledge of presentation programmes and equipment.
Excellent written, oral and non-verbal communication skills. Familiarity with one of the major foreign languageswould be an asset.
Minimum of five (5) years work experience, at least three (3) at the supervisory level, in a customer service or sales function, preferably in a financial institution.
