Responsible for the maintenance and repair of equipment and ensuring that the equipment are readily available for Operations.
Overall Description
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform Maintenance, Troubleshooting and repairs to various Fabric Maintenance equipment: Blast Pots, Paint Pumps, Pressure Washers, Air Receivers, ALG10, Pumps from basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance to component replacement
- Operate and inspect equipment to diagnose defects
- Complete Service Reports and Checklists and ensure all work done on equipment is documented and checklists are completed accurately and on time
- Prepare requisitions for spares and tools
- Refer to Equipment Manuals and Technical Manuals routinely and liaise with vendors to obtain relevant technical information
- Assist in Load outs of equipment as required to the various facilities
- Ensure all equipment is certified and function tested and Green Tagged when assigned to a job
- Participate and assist in Internal and External Pre Mobilisation inspection of all equipment
- Assist in Loading and Offloading of equipment dispatch and returns
- Maintain and secure work tools
- Other duties as required
Experience/Qualifications/Skills:
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a Maintenance environment
- Working knowledge of diesel and gas driven equipment : compressors, welding units, generators, vehicles, forklifts
- Technical Diploma or Certificate in related field or other related tertiary level qualification
- Secondary level education inclusive of Mathematics and English
- Ability to utilise hand tools, power tools, industrial equipment, measuring and testing instruments
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Physically capable of performing the duties required for this position
