Responsible for the maintenance and repair of equipment and ensuring that the equipment are readily available for Operations.

Overall Description

Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform Maintenance, Troubleshooting and repairs to various Fabric Maintenance equipment: Blast Pots, Paint Pumps, Pressure Washers, Air Receivers, ALG10, Pumps from basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance to component replacement
  • Operate and inspect equipment to diagnose defects
  • Complete Service Reports and Checklists and ensure all work done on equipment is documented and checklists are completed accurately and on time
  • Prepare requisitions for spares and tools
  • Refer to Equipment Manuals and Technical Manuals routinely and liaise with vendors to obtain relevant technical information
  • Assist in Load outs of equipment as required to the various facilities
  • Ensure all equipment is certified and function tested and Green Tagged when assigned to a job
  • Participate and assist in Internal and External Pre Mobilisation inspection of all equipment
  • Assist in Loading and Offloading of equipment dispatch and returns
  • Maintain and secure work tools
  • Other duties as required
Experience/Qualifications/Skills:
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a Maintenance environment
  • Working knowledge of diesel and gas driven equipment : compressors, welding units, generators, vehicles, forklifts
  • Technical Diploma or Certificate in related field or other related tertiary level qualification
  • Secondary level education inclusive of Mathematics and English
  • Ability to utilise hand tools, power tools, industrial equipment, measuring and testing instruments
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physically capable of performing the duties required for this position
  • Excellent team player
  • Keen attention to detail
