Our Need:

We are seeking to recruit a Maintenance & Project Manager with the right combination of skills and experience, to plan, schedule and coordinate the implementation of appropriate maintenance programmes and activities to ensure that the company’s plant and equipment are properly maintained to achieve the desired reliability and performance. In addition, he/she will plan, direct and control the execution of projects for the Company to ensure that the desired safety, reliability, integrity and specification of the project are established and achieved.

 Key Responsibilities

• Ensures the implementation of established preventive and predictive maintenance programmes and schedules.
• Ensures that corrective maintenance standards, procedures and specifications are achieved.
• Monitors the work of external contractors to ensure compliance with specifications and contractual terms.
• Assesses the effectiveness of existing maintenance programmes and recommends adjustments as required.
• Ensures the availability and optimisation of the human, physical and capital resources required to achieve and sustain the desired plant and equipment reliability levels.
• Ensures engineering compliance with established statutory, industry and regulatory practices and procedures.
• Determines capital investment requirements to sustain desired reliability levels, develops relevant proposals and manages approved projects.
• Provides on-the-job training for maintenance technicians and machine operators in running packaging machines.

SPECIFIC SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND

TECHNIQUES REQUIRED

• Sound knowledge of electromechanical engineering and maintenance.
• Sound knowledge of Project Management principles and practices.
• Knowledge of the baking and packaging equipment would be an asset. 

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• First Degree or equivalent accreditation in an appropriate engineering discipline.
• Five (5) years post qualification experience in a similar or related function.
