MAINTENANCE PLANNER
PCS NITROGEN TRINIDAD LIMITED is located at the Point Lisas Industrial Estate, Trinidad, and is a subsidiary of PotashCorp, the world’s largest fertilizer enterprise producing the three primary nutrients, and a leading supplier to three distinct market categories: agriculture, with the largest capacity in the world in potash, third largest in phosphate and fourth largest in nitrogen; animal nutrition, with the world’s largest capacity in phosphate feed ingredients; and industrial chemicals, as the largest global producer on industrial nitrogen products and with the world’s largest purified industrial phosphoric acid production capacity.

MAINTENANCE PLANNER
General Accountability:
The incumbent will be required to provide maintenance planning duties in a heavy industrial environment.
Qualificiations & Experience:
- Technician’s diploma – MET or EET from a recognized institution
- Five (5) CXC subjects which includes Mathematics, English and a Science subject
- Working knowledge of CMMS system
- Certificate of training in maintenance planning and scheduling will be an asset
- Minimum five (5) years experience in a heavy engineering/process plant environment
- Planing and work scheduling skills
- Experience and knowledge in the repair, installation, troubleshooting and upkeep of plant equipment/facilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Physical requirements apply including climbing high structures, lifting heavy objects
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- Performs duties with a keen sense of commitment to safety, health and environmental preservation.
- Ensures all work order requirements are planned inclusive of materials, labor, contracts, equipment and procedures.
- Interfaces daily with production and maintenance department personnel to review work orders for maintenance services. Review and provide input on definition, accuracy and priority.
- Ensures that all work is planned and executed to meet the requirements of company specifications, SHE and PSM programs.
- Tracks area planning backlog & work orders from creation to completion ensuring data is current, complete & accurate.
- Evaluates non-resident contractor performance, including quality & safety performance.
- Assists engineers with plant projects, technical details, & specifications inclusive of timeline, labor requirements, work scope, & material.
- Follows the Management of Change Process to document & implement plant PSM changes.
- Provides planning and supervisory support for plant shutdowns and turnarounds.
- Provides off-hour support for maintenance issues, material or service as necessary.
- Creates and maintains repetitive job plans.
- Performs other duties as assigned
