The successful candidate will be responsible for:

 

-      assisting with the construction and maintenance of transmission and distribution lines including installing of poles and pole hardware, stringing of overhead and underground conductors, performing line maintenance on energised lines, connecting and disconnecting services, performing stand-by duties after normal working hours and working overtime;

-      assisting with interpreting work orders and ensuring work is completed in accordance with the specified work order and Company standards;

-      performing all work in an efficient and safe manner in accordance with the Company’s safety procedures and practices;

-      ensuring subordinate staff are knowledgeable of and in compliance with the Company’s standards and practices;

-      driving assigned Company vehicles while ensuring that Company practices and the Cayman Islands Road Code laws are followed.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

Applicants must:

-      possess a high school diploma and Lineman Journeyman certificate;

-      have completed an approved apprenticeship programme with 5 to 10 years related experience in transmission and distribution line construction and maintenance.

 

Salary:

Salary is from US$50,200 to US$75,300 per annum.

CUC operates within the Cayman Islands, a tax-free jurisdiction. Employees working on Island are subject to taxes only when importing goods from overseas. There are no income taxes.
