LIBRARY ASSISTANT III (GRADE 9)
IN THE INSTITUTE OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS LIBRARY
Applications are invited for the post of Library Assistant III (Grade 9), in the Institute of International Relations Library.
Duties of the post include:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Applicants should have knowledge and familiarity with The University’s strategic objectives and processes. Applicants should have knowledge of library policies and procedures and be skilled in the use of Information Technology (HTML, Integrated Library Systems and library-related software) in the access to and delivery of information services. Applicants
must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, students and various publics and communicate both verbally and in writing and must have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Required:
Candidates should possess a BA/BSc in an appropriate field preferably in the Social Sciences or Humanities or any other relevant qualifications from a recognized institution.
Desired:
Library Technician’s Diploma or a combination of other partial qualifications and training in Library and Information Science.
Experience:
Required:
At least six (6) years’ relevant work experience and three (3) years of supervisory experience.

Salary will be fixed in accordance with Grade 9 of the salary scale ($9,234.00 - $11,538.00)
