Duties and Responsibilities:
Sets up equipment and other required materials for practical exercises;
Maintains, diagnoses and troubleshoots computer problems;
Assists with instruction and/or demonstration re: workshop/laboratory exercises;
Manages specialized software license, with respect to revision update and license renewal;
Provides support to students;
Ensures that all computer peripherals; such as printers, scanners, Ram, hard drive space, projectors, etc. are capable of performing the desired job;
Provides reports and feedback to instructor/professor;
Performs general maintenance of lab computers, with respect to cleaning up work space, antivirus scans, defragmentation, etc.;
Prepares workshop/laboratory specimen;
Performs minor maintenance on instructional equipment;
Liaises with UTT ITS Unit regarding PRs and ordering of computer items to ensure proper technical support;
Maintains inventory of all equipment and related materials in area of responsibility;
Supports the duties of the drilling fluids and reservoir technician to allow for assistance and support throughout the department;
Performs other related duties as assigned.
