The Key Account Manager is charismatic leader who is responsible for achieving sales targets within assigned Key Accounts. The incumbent is responsible for leading a team of Key Account Sales Representatives.
Leads, directs, and motivates Key Account Sales Representatives in order to achieve and exceed sales targets and objectives.
Maintains and increases sales of company's products in assigned geographical area.
Achieves set targets by working on the field with sales representatives to help close larger sale deals, get new products into existing accounts and qualify sales leads.
Establishes, maintains and expands the customer base by seeking out new business and growing the existing business.
Supervises, coaches, trains and develops Key Account Sales representatives
Handles customer issues, complaints, and provides resolutions or escalates to the Sales Manager.

Formulates strategic sales plans and assist with sales forecasting for designated geographic area, sales representative, and product category and market segment.
Participates in company events such as trade shows, exhibitions and product seminars.
Keeps abreast of market conditions, customer trends, competitive, trade and promotional activities.
Communicates all employee relations issues, concerns and incidents to Sales Manager.
Launches and drives sales incentive programs to motivate key account sales representatives to achieve and exceed sales targets.
Reviews daily sales performance by key account sales representatives, measure against set metrics and implement approved strategies by Sales Manager to increase effectiveness and achieve targets.
Ensures key account readiness for the launch of marketing campaigns and trade promotions.
Monitors, reports and evaluates trade promotion performance at key accounts against standardize set metrics such as extended purchases, customer loyalty and retention etc.
Ensures all sales, corporate and divisional policies are adhered to.
Assists and directs key account sales representatives with significant collections matters and ensure that they adhere to credit and collection polices.
