KB Consultant LLC - KBC Learning

KBC Learning, a division of KB Consultants, LLC, was established to provide assistance with school improvement programs to underperforming schools and school districts; and to provide direct supplemental educational services to students and professional development services to teachers.

The firm currently provides research-based after-school tutoring to hundreds of students attending Title 1 schools, in Maryland and the District of Colombia. In Jamaica, KBC Learning provides professional development for teachers and school staff as part of a comprehensive school improvement program. The firm has agreements with schools in Jamaica to provide consultant services for school improvement. The focus of these programs is to improve teaching and learning outcomes as measured by student academic performance.

In addition, KBC Learning recently established a learning centre at 30-32 Red Hills Road, Suite #42, Kingston that is aimed at both teachers and students of all ages. The facility is initially equipped with 40 computers with broadband connectivity and with sophisticated kiosk software for monitoring all computer activities

The firm uses web-based tools to assess student academic strengths and weaknesses and to establish a baseline performance level for each student. Based on the assessment results, KBC develops individualized supplemental educational plans to address the gaps in student learning. KBC provides on-line tutoring targeting the specific weak areas for each student. KBC guarantees student improvement and carefully monitors student performance by use of bench mark tests and other techniques.

The firm has a staff of 22 experienced personnel and a talented core group of professionals whose expertise is available for the work being done in Jamaica.
