The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is the principal law enforcement organization in Jamaica, with responsibility for the maintenance of law and order, the prevention and detection of crime, the protection of life and property, the investigation of alleged crime and the enforcement of all criminal laws.
The JCF employs approximately 10,000 sworn police officers and 2,000 support workers, who are accommodated at various locations across Jamaica. They perform many different roles that enable the delivery of a wide range of policing services to the community.
