Purpose of the Job

To assist the Manager-Inventory Control in managing inventory, searching for new SKUs, ordering goods, updating inventory system, assist customers and sales reps with technical issues and gathering product and competitor information via phone and field visits.

Main Tasks

• Manage stock and practise inventory control.
• Order and price goods over the internet (key daily task)
• Create new SKUs for new products and lines.
• Gather data on new and existing products and obtain competitor information.
• Update system information to reflect new product applications and communicate changes to the relevant parties.
• Conduct an annual review of local dealership offerings and identify and compile parts lists for each vehicle.
• Assist Sales Representatives with technical issues and cross referencing of products.
• Ensure that all goods meet standardisation / certification requirements.
• Review products' performance to assess the demand by the customers.
• Communicate with external agencies that facilitate efficient operations of the department.
• Liaise with existing and potential suppliers when directed to do so.
• Assist with the receiving of goods, if and when required.
• Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

 Qualifications and Experience

• 2 years’ work experience in inventory control/procurement
• Knowledge of the automotive industry is preferred.
• Training or experience in Auto mechanics is an asset
• Logistics certification is an asset.

 Starting Salary $5500
