To install and maintain desktop computers, peripheral and telephony equipment and software applications as required by the users/departments.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Desktop Support
- Providing first level support for user requests
- Configuring and installing computer equipment
- Maintaining computer equipment/coordinating service repairs
- Installing and supporting software (i.e. Microsoft applications, Other desktop
applications)
- Assisting in implementing both hardware and software standards.
Other
- Actively participating in dialogue
- Demonstrating internal and external Customer Service passion.
- May be required to work at off-shore platforms
- May be required to work in locations between Port-of-Spain, Piarco and Galeota
INDIVIDUAL PROFILE:
- Sound knowledge of PC, printers, other peripherals, Microsoft Windows desktop
products; basic LAN topology, basic WAN topology, network protocols
- Knowledge of project management
- Well-developed troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
MINIMUM EDUCATION PROFILE:
First degree in a technical discipline
OTHER SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Three (3) years supporting desktop systems, both hardware and software in a mediumsized
corporate environment
- Valid Tropical Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (TBOSIET)
certification will be an asset
