Description
When you're on our Advisory team, you specialize in a particular competency - Risk, Performance Improvement, or Information Technology (IT) Risk & Assurance. You also have the opportunity to work across disciplines with professionals who have broad industry sector experience and deep subject-matter knowledge. In Advisory, our growth strategy focuses on being account-centric, issue-based and competency-driven. That's what differentiates EY in the Advisory marketplace. Our Risk team helps clients address compliance, financial, operational and strategic risk. We provide services such as enterprise risk management, internal audit and internal controls, and climate change and sustainability.
Information technology is a key enabler, and we're integrating IT into our Advisory transformation engagements. Our IT Risk & Assurance team delivers world-class information technology advice as part of our broader risk and business improvement services. We provide services such as financial audit IT integration, third party reporting, IT Risk Advisory, information management & analysis and information security.

We currently have an excellent career opportunity for a Staff I in our Trinidad office.
Responsibilities
Work along with the audit teams in the planning and execution of tests to evaluate IT general controls and application controls relevant to financial audits. This will include technical controls related to the software or applications, routine data processes, operating systems, databases, network, etc., as well as controls related to the IT processes (change management, etc.)
Develop and maintain relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels.
Develop working knowledge of client environments, client's language and acronyms/industry terms, client history
Apply independent and objective, professional judgment to meet engagement expectations, including regulatory requirements.
Acquire and inspect client data, analyze evidence, formulate conclusions.
Prepare work products such as client correspondence, memoranda and other working papers in clear, structured and systematic manner.
Stay abreast of relevant methodology requirements. Understand and apply technical standards with the expected level of assistance and supervision.
Maintain engagement focus by following through on client requests, demonstrating a professional and competent demeanor, and being prepared and organized when dealing with clients.
Communicate all relevant information, including the status of activities to appropriate supervisors on a timely basis
Comply with all applicable firm policies and guidelines as well as professional standards and codes of conduct.
Qualifications
To qualify, candidates must have:
Actively working towards obtaining relevant professional certifications in IT Risk & Assurance.
