INVENTORY CONTROL SUPERVISOR (FINANCE)

Objective of Position: The incumbent will be responsible for the managing of daily inventory accountabilities of the Finance Department 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the Development of the company’s inventory management strategy with the aim of controlling cost within budgetary limits, generating savings, and maximizing working capital.
  • Assist in the implementation of the company’s Warehouse Management System
  • Assist with all Supply Chain activities within the organization
  • Responsible for posting all incoming product receipt and ensuring that landed cost are managed properly according to company procedures
  • Posting of all inventory adjustments, cycle counts and Purchase Order returns
  • Entering of all promotional prices, price breaks and change in price unto system in accordance with company procedures 
  • Responsible for ensuring that all new items are entered unto system in accordance with company procedures
  • Responsible for ensuring that receipt queries are address within a 48hr period
  • Responsible for ensuring that all Documents are forward for Finance as to not delay the payment process
  • To review or coordinate weekly Shipping documents received from Shipping to track whether shipments are received for AAL Trinidad, Barbados & Jamaica
  • To review receiving report sent daily by Warehouse Receiving supervisor to make certain all receiving document were sent to Inventory
  • Alert Inventory Control Supervisor Warehouse on all returns to Supplier
  • Participate in as a member of the sales return team
  • Assist in investigation of variances that may arise out of stock count
  • Assist in stock counts
  • Coordinate all changes to Item numbers – UOM, descriptions, Division and Class
  • Creation of all new division and class
  • Maintenance of new item creation form  
  • Supervise Inventory Clerk –Finance
  • Report to Supply Chain Manager on value of monthly adjustments via cycle count and manual adjustment
  • Any other duties as assigned by Management to ensure the efficient operation of the department

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate Degree in Management or Supply Chain
  • At least 5 years related work experience; familiarity with a warehousing environment will be an asset.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision
  • Must be computer literate
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good analytical skills and persistent in locating errors
  • Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
