HRM
This position is based in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
Job purpose
- Manage the HR: labor relations, training, recruitment, payroll, compensation and development.
- Responsible for ensuring that company policies and procedures are in place and followed, in line with the strategic plan of the group HR policies.
Principal Accountabilities
- Responsible for implementing and developing HR policies within the country.
- Identify and develop staff in order to increase performance standards. Address employee performance issues and, when needed, take disciplinary action. (Performance Review Processes)
- Responsible for recruitment processes, in coordination with HQ.
- Coordinate training activities, together with HQ.
- Responsible for fulfilling the legal aspects related to the HR Department.
- Manage all occupational Health and Safety issues.
- Lead management and staff, spearhead conflict resolution.
- Responsible for HR budgets, staff costs and overall payroll. Process all HR invoices including maintenance, security, etc, where required.
Qualifications and experience
- Degree – ideally with HR qualification.
- At least, 5 years of experience in similar role in the country.
- Previous experience in retail background will be appreciated.
- Deep knowledge of local labour regulations.
- IT literate.
- Numerate.
- Good Presentation skills.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Ability to be able to manage complex team dynamics.
- Professional and pragmatic.
