This position is based in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Job purpose

• Manage the HR: labor relations, training, recruitment, payroll, compensation and development.
• Responsible for ensuring that company policies and procedures are in place and followed, in line with the strategic plan of the group HR policies. 

Principal Accountabilities

1. Responsible for implementing and developing HR policies within the country.
2. Identify and develop staff in order to increase performance standards. Address employee performance issues and, when needed, take disciplinary action. (Performance Review Processes)
3. Responsible for recruitment processes, in coordination with HQ.
4. Coordinate training activities, together with HQ.
5. Responsible for fulfilling the legal aspects related to the HR Department.
6. Manage all occupational Health and Safety issues.
7. Lead management and staff, spearhead conflict resolution.
8. Responsible for HR budgets, staff costs and overall payroll. Process all HR invoices including maintenance, security, etc, where required. 

Qualifications and experience

-          Degree – ideally with HR qualification.

-          At least, 5 years of experience in similar role in the country.

-          Previous experience in retail background will be appreciated.

-          Deep knowledge of local labour regulations.

-          IT literate.

-          Numerate.

-          Good Presentation skills.

-          Excellent negotiation skills.

-          Ability to be able to manage complex team dynamics.

-          Professional and pragmatic.
