HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER
Purpose:
The Human Resource Officer will be responsible for providing support in the various human resource functions, which include recruitment, staffing, performance monitoring and employee counselling.
General Responsibilities:
Responsible for the recruitment and selection of staff
Develop, maintain and implement policy manuals as well as employee handbook as needed
Liaise with Departmental Managers and Supervisors to discuss work related issues
Dealing with grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures
Administering payroll
To review and update job descriptions
Negotiate with staff and their representatives
Performance Management
Provide staff orientations
Maintain employee records

Requirements:
Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent
Minimum three (3) years experience in a similar field
Must have experience in a unionized environment
Must have proficient knowledge on relevant legislation, policies and procedures
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Skills:
Have excellent people skills
Must possess good oral and written skills
Must be confidential and trustworthy
Must have effective organisational skills
