HR Officer
HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER
Recruitment and selection of employees – both local and foreign
Orientation of all new employees
Participate in the appraisal of employees – probationary and developmental
Assist with collation of data and other IR support documentation as required
Assist in the coordination of all training and development interventions
Monitor Time and Attendance Records and advise on actions required to curb tardiness and excessive absenteeism
Provide draft responses to incoming correspondence and prepare draft ad hoc reports
Liaise with the Accountant and Payroll Officer on HR issues affecting payroll
Assist in the administration of Health and Life Plans, Workmen’s Compensation and NIS Claims
Participate in the coordination and execution of all Social functions
Institute initial staff grievance hearings and compile reports to management
Complete monthly activity reports as a subset of the overall departmental report
Treat with miscellaneous HR related queries from staff and third parties
Minimum Requirements and Experience:
First Degree in any of the Social Sciences
Three (3) years experience in a Human Resource environment
Computer Literate in Microsoft Office Suite
Any other combination of qualifications, training and experience

Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well in team situations
Must have problem analysis and problem solving skills
Must be well organized and be able to work with accuracy and adequacy and within deadlines
Must be highly confidential and flexible
