ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced candidate to fill the position of Human Resource Information Systems Analyst (HRIS Analyst) in the Group Human Resource Development Department (GHRD) of Jamaica National Building Society.

The HR Information Systems Analyst is required to assist the management team of GHRD in the support and maintenance of the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). The position serves to provide technical expertise to develop, implement and support technological initiatives within GHRD, and provides supervision in the review of system specifications and data interfaces to identify irregularities and troubleshoot issues as well as to ensure the accuracy and integrity of database information. The position is also involved in the analysis, design and documentation of business processes, as well to lead activities relating to components of larger HRIS Projects. The position serves to use analytic methods and tools to give comprehensive reports on manpower planning, compensation management, operational efficiencies, budgeting, trend analysis and other adhoc analysis as assigned.

 

Key Responsibilities

* Assist the Group Human Resource Management Team in the preparation of the HR Budgets

* Identify and compile the Strategic Initiatives with corresponding human relation components.

* Provide report support to industrial relation process related to union negotiations.

* Oversee the completion of HRIS related projects.

* Plan, design, analyze and provide any special report request and analysis to the HR management team or the executives and senior managers for JNBS and its subsidiaries.

* Analyze requests, write and customize complex statistical summaries and special reports from HRIS.

* Use complex report writing to prepare predictive analytics illustrating the relationship between variables and potential results in the relation to Manpower Planning, Workforce Analytics and Employee Compensation.

* Conduct special studies, research and prepare reports on personnel related matters.

* Keep up to date on the laws, regulations, practices and procedures related to the human resources processes that can affect the data.

* Monitor trend or incidents within the human resource processes that can affect the data.

Required Qualifications & Experience

* Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management or in a technical/analytical discipline or its equivalent

* A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Business Analysis

* Experience in HR administration would be an asset.

* Strong computer skills and a working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.

* Exposure to and experience in the management of HRIS

* Exposure to Software design development and production

* Strong presentation skills

* Good command of excel, visio and other tools for used for business and data analysis

* Exposure to the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System Personal Attributes

* Superior analytical, and critical thinking skills

* Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

* Excellent problem-solving skills

* Excellent customer service skills

* Strong attention to detail

* Strong team player

* Ability to work on own initiative

* Professionalism, dependability, integrity and trustworthiness combined with a cooperative attitude
