Coordinates and performs the attraction, recruitment and selection of candidates for projects/jobs in order to have the talent available to ensure business objectives according to organizational policies and guidelines.

 

Provides support for the execution of HR operations, policies, procedures and programs.

Reports to the Human Resource Lead

 

 

  1. Main Tasks and Responsibilities

    Recruitment and Selection – Hourly Rated Project Staffing

  • Sourcing of candidates via various sources so as to ensure sufficient and quality candidates to meet vacancy needs.
  • Shortlisting of candidates
  • Preparation of recruitment packages
  • Conducts screening and interviews for hourly paid employees
  • Coordinates and arranges pre-employment requirements including skill testing, world checks, background and reference checks, relevant employment documentation, and STS internal induction.
  • Prepares offer of employment

  • Logs interviews and sends out unsuccessful letters
  • Files all resumes/ applications for employment in relevant folders.

 

Employee Contract Management

  • Manages the hourly rated employee contract database
  • Prepares and issues all hourly rated employee contracts, as and when required, ensuring timely follow-ups until signed contracts are returned to the HR Department.
  • Ensures that such contracts are current and updated
  • Follows up with Team Leads / Managers for approvals of contract extensions

 

Human Resource Administration

  • Date Monitoring – Monitors the dates for expiration of probationary periods, Temporary and Acting Appointments etc.

  • Prepares and distributes employee ID and access Cards

  • Preparation of changes to employment terms letters, promotion letters, payroll notifications, memos, payment vouchers etc.

  • Prepares job letters and confirmation of job letters from external parties.
  • Ensures all letters/memos and general administrative (scanning, photocopying & filing) duties are completed on a timely basis.
  • Prepares and submits reports as and when required.
  • Maintains personnel files
  • Assists with employee relations activities and social events as and when required.
  • Receptionist duties, as and when required.

  6. Wear personal protective equipment as required, and report any defects likely to reduce protection

     

     

  1. Minimum Qualifications and Experience/Key Attributes
  • Two (2) years experience in HR or a similar position
  • Diploma in Human Resource Management or Business Management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including MS Word/ Excel/ Access/ Outlook
  • Excellent team player
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good time management and administrative skills
  • High level of confidentiality
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Able to organise multiple assignments
