In 1995 HRD Profiles Jamaica Limited became a player in the Jamaican ‘corporate mix’ with a view of becoming a game changer. According to Peter Drucker, “companies will regret 60% of their hiring decisions within 12 months”. This statistic is scary and suggests that there must be something fundamentally flawed with our recruitment and selection processes. By extension, there is a need to fundamentally transform how organisations, attract, recruit and select employees at all levels within the organisation. It is this need that gave birth to HRD Profiles Jamaica Limited.
The current widespread use of psychometric assessments in Jamaica is a testimony to the impact HRD Profiles has had on the local corporate culture. Business leaders and HR professionals are no longer prepared to make employment decisions without the benefit of the body of objective information provided by psychometric assessments. While not loosing its focus of fixing problems at the front door, the leadership of HRD Profiles recognize that there are existing problems beyond the front door. Our highly professional team is headed by Dr. Trevor Little whose management and executive experience spans four decades. As a young engineer, his early professional life began in the manufacturing sector and after a long, scenic journey through several functional disciplines and executive postings; he now takes pride in referring to himself as a HR Engineer. A founding partner in HRD Profiles Jamaica Limited, Trevor Little has established an enviable track record of performance and has assisted several local and regional organisations successfully re-engineer their people management processes. Trevor is unwavering in his view that ‘human capital optimization’ is central to value creation and therefore the way to optimally create value is to leverage the creative energy and collective wisdom of all available human resource. Trevor is the 2007 recipient of the Barbados Human Resource Association award for innovation in HR and is committed to achieving excellence in all his undertakings.
Alma L. Thomas MBA Administration & Logistics.
Alma Thomas has been employed to HRD Profiles Jamaica Ltd. as Operations Manager since February 2008. She has worked in administration at Cable & Wireless Jamaica Limited, Jamaica Digiport International Limited and Sandals Resorts International Limited.
Alma is a Certified Administrative Professional and holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) Degree from Northern Caribbean University (NCU). She is a part-time lecturer in Human Resource Management, Strategic Management, Business Communication and Personal Finance at NCU's Kingston Campus.
Marsha Cohen Business Development ExecutiveMarsha Cohen has been a valued member of the HRD Profiles team for almost eight years and is currently our Business Development Executive. With core competencies in the principles of business, computer technology, as well as, having excellent interpersonal, administrative, analytical and problem solving skills she has made a significant contribution to the growth and success of the organization. Marsha is a graduate of the University of Technology, Jamaica and is currently pursuing a degree in Business Studies at the Northern Caribbean University
