Group Administrator

This position is responsible for implementing and updating Group Life Policies by preparing and maintaining files, client information, reports and Death Claims.

The incumbent will be required to utilize his/her proven expertise to:

• Provides prompt and quality Customer Service by projecting and demonstrating a high level of professionalism, courtesy and initiative in accordance with established guidelines and policies.
• Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the Company’s products and procedures, and a good understanding of industry regulations and guidelines as it relates to the provision of information and services to clients.
• Answers the telephone by the third ring in a professional and courteous manner, and responds efficiently to the individual needs of the client, escalating to the Supervisor or Assistant Manager as necessary.
• Assists in preparation of annual plans and objectives for Group Life section.
• Processes employer reporting forms and maintains current database of insured persons.
• Prepares and dispatches Group Premium billings and Reinsurance Bureau.
• Prepares and submits reports on Group Premium Transactions.

 The ideal candidate will have:

• 5 CXC Passes including Mathematics and English
• Associate Degree in Business Management or related respect
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Training in Ingenium would be considered an asset.
• Training in Group Life Plans and Reinsurance
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
•  At least 2 years’ experience in Underwriting
• Minimum 1 year experience in the Insurance industry will be an asset
