Graphic Arts Product Specialist

A regional leader in the sale of digital printing equipment to the graphic arts business segment has an opportunity for a graphic arts product specialist.

 Primary objective of the job

To achieve business objectives for the graphic arts and commercial printing business segment. This segment includes corporate marketing and promotion departments, printing divisions of government and private sector enterprises, traditional commercial offset printers, medium and small print for pay entities as well as advertising agencies and design studios. 

 Key Deliverables

  • Create the go to market plan for the graphic arts portfolio of products and solutions.
  • Develop and execute programs and events to create market awareness and generate demand
  • Implement proven initiatives to maximize revenue and market segment growth
  • Conduct business development activities and market education programs to drive demand and growth  
  • Maintain the relationships with existing graphic customers and acquire new business

 The Main Activities of the Job

  • Establishing prospecting techniques for acquiring new business and strategies for key account management and maintenance.
  • Building a viable pipeline of opportunities for product line
  • Demonstrate strong product knowledge and ability to articulate the product value proposition
  • Provide consultation to customers on products and services that would best serve their business needs.
  • Proactively build relationships with key decision makers within the graphic arts business segment

 

Experience and Key Attributes

  • Tertiary degree in Visual Arts or related field.
  • An understanding of commercial printing technologies, the printing industry’s challenges, opportunities, initiatives and key performance objectives
  • The ability to present a business concept or idea to decision makers in a compelling and convincing manner.
  • Understanding the linkages between marketing ideas and concepts, graphic design and their influence on consumer buying decisions.
  • Experience in advertising, marketing or commercial printing or brand management would be a distinct advantage.
