Public Education speaks to ensuring that citizens are well informed of Government policies, programmes and initiatives. It also addresses the need to employ a variety of methods to communicate and provide information to accommodate diverse needs; a well informed citizen is an empowered citizen. Distance Education is aimed at providing a platform for the transmission/dissemination of educational programmes or materials. The mandate of Government Information focuses on providing the public with accurate, timely and quality information about government’s policies, decisions and actions. While the mandate of Quality Programming seeks to promote, support and nurture quality local programming.
