General Handyman

The role requires the Employee to perform preventative maintenance of all aspects of the business, stores and grounds as required, and to assist other trade mechanics in their duties to ensure a safe, clean and well maintained working environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs plumbing maintenance, including but not limited to, maintenance of pipes; drains; faucets; disposals and toilets, as required and/or as directed.
• Installation of and execution of repairs as required, including but not limited to, installing/repairing and/or replacing, doors, windows, shelves, walls, floors, ceilings, furniture, cabinetry, lights, switches, sockets, painting and tiling.
• Cleans and repairs surfaces, wall coverings and ceilings, and power washing of external areas.
• Basic knowledge and maintenance of refrigerators, chillers and freezers.
• Cleans ceiling diffusers, ducting, A/C returns and toilet exhausts as required.
• Maintains and categorizes records and work requests in an organized manner
• Assists with the day-today management of all grounds, buildings, facilities and associated infrastructure.
• Identifies any possible electrical hazards, and informs the relevant Company personnel of same in a timely manner.
• Continuously seeks ways to sustain the maintenance of the facilities.

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications:

• Five (5) O' level passes including Mathematics and English.
• Technical Training with relevant certification.
• Computer Literate and knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Office Tools

Experience:

• Two (2) to four (4) years' technical work experience or experience working in facilities maintenance

Knowledge/Skills:

• Skilled in the use of basic hand and electirc tools.
• Knowledge of cabinetry, plubming, electrical, general maintenance and repairs.
• Working knowledge of refrigeration and appliances

Other:

• Must have a valid Driver's Permit and possess a vehicle in good working condition.
• Flexibility to work outside of standard working hours/days.
